Vintage Camco Drum History

Welcome to the Camco Drum page. In my research I have found only seven badges for Camco drums. The Camco company started in Oaklawn Illinois as a machine shop. Featured in 50's Rogers catalogs selling hardware. Camco began drum production in 1961 when president John Rochon took over George Way Drum Company in a stock buy out. The company was sold and moved to Kansas by the Kustom Company. A later sale moved it to Los Angeles and eventually turned into DW Drums. This Camco History page covers Snare Drum Catalog Scans and Drum Set Catalog Scans, scans of Camco finishes and a Camco badge timeline. There is also some George Way history and if you ever have a question just visit our drum forum which is the largest vintage drum forum on the Internet
