Thank you for visiting! please support vintage drum history.
My web site has grown beyond belief and I have met so many wonderful people online. I just do not have
the personal resources or knowledge to handle every aspect of the vintage drum world. The generosity of the Vintage Drum Center shines through with an offer to exchange information between our sites to make them both better. In the near future a large collection of badges from Vintage Snare Drums.com will be displayed on The Vintage Drum Center web site. They have such a vast array of textual data that the exchange of information is just a wonderful prospect for both of us. The Vintage Drum Center of Iowa is a business that sells Vintage Drums, Cymbals, Hardware and they also have a huge product Inventory of new drum and percussion items. Since we do not sell products we would hope that if you are need of anything that you would visit them.

One of the intriguing aspects of collecting vintage drums is discovering when your instrument was made. Estimating the age of a drum can be done more or less by examining its badge type, style of hardware, shell construction/composition and interior/exterior finish. If you’re fortunate enough, your drum might even have a date stamp on the inside of its shell.
As the momentum of interest in vintage drums grows more and more, so has the need for knowledge about them. Over the past 7 years, we have inspected thousands of vintage drums and have developed techniques and processes on how to do this effectively. We wanted you to benefit from our experience and have put this system into a written format for you to use.
